Why learn trauma-informed hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a state of relaxed, focused concentration that anyone can learn to access. When we are in a hypnosis state, we not only feel calmer, but we are better able to integrate information from both the logical and emotional regions of the brain.
This improved brain connectivity allows us to grasp new perspectives, influence the nervous system, and change the way we feel, think, and react more easily.
In fact, clinical researchers have reported that hypnosis enhances the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy by as much as 66-70% so patients get better results in shorter periods of time. (See Ramondo, Gignac, Pestell, and Byre, 2021)
Clients usually enjoy clinical hypnosis because it’s a pleasant experience and gives them a tool they can use to ease pain, calm anxiety, manage cravings and boost motivation. Rather than leave sessions feeling drained, clients will leave your sessions feeling relaxed and uplifted. Whether you are new to hypnosis or have had prior hypnosis training, we’ll teach you how to harness the power of clinical hypnosis to transform patient outcomes.
Trauma-Informed
We teach you how to safely adapt hypnosis for clients who’ve experienced trauma, so they don’t experience flashbacks or negative abreactions.
Evidence Based
There is nothing “woo-woo” about what we’re teaching you. Our strategies are evidence-based and informed by clinical research. We explain how each technique works and how to adapt it for your client’s needs. No fast-talking gimmicks or guru culture here!
Designed to Fit Your Schedule
Our virtual trainings combine short, online instructional videos you can watch at your own pace with live weekly webinars and practice sessions. No need to give up weekends or full workdays to get training.
Personalized & Experiential
Each week you’ll get to practice hypnosis skills in small groups of two to three peers with guidance from Courtney and our supportive coaches. Our clinicians say these practice sessions were not only fun but gave them the confidence to begin using their hypnosis skills immediately.
Proven Results
In pilot-testing our virtual training with over 150 clinicians at the U. S. Veterans Administration, 95% of course graduates reported they acquired new tools they could use immediately, felt more confident using hypnosis, and experienced positive outcomes with clients.
